[lascazeres holiday cottage]
[the cottage]
Independent
cottage for 2 adults, in a carefully renovated Gascony farm
Whilst the cottage offers a peaceful
retreat, it is an excellent centre for exploring a region rich in historical
interest. Pau,
the capital of the old Kingdom
of Navarre, is 45 minutes away. Lourdes,
with its castle guarding high mountain valleys is a famous pilgrim
city and only a 40
minute drive from the cottage. The jewel in the crown of this region, however, has to be the magnificent Pyrénées which dominate the Southern horizon. The local area is also a delight for visitors who wish to the sample the unique cuisine, wines and Armagnac of the Gascony region.
The cottage comprises:
Large oak beamed bed/sitting room with traditional shuttered windows which open onto the grass patio and garden. There is a well equipped dining/kitchen and a
bathroom with shower and toilet. There is a secluded, furnished grass patio and undercover parking.
The cottage opens onto a well maintained garden. Swimming, riding and other sporting activities are available locally.
All provisions can be found within a 10 miniute drive to the market town of Maubourguet.
